The Prince Albert Police Service says it is continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred outside a school Wednesday morning.
At approximately 10:20 a.m. police responded to a report of gun being fired outside Wesmor Public High School in the West Flat Neighborhood. Further updates stated three suspects fled the scene.
Officers learned a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old girl had been struck with a projectile and were observed to have what appeared to be minor injuries.
A member of the Canine Unit attended the scene and began a K9 track which resulted in police successfully locating a firearm discarded in a bush in the 1300 block of 18th Street West. Shortly after, officers located and arrested one male youth.
