A 14-year-old Saskatoon boy was taken to hospital early Thursday morning following an incident from the previous evening.
At around 1:30 a.m., police were called to a home for a report of an injured person. Officers arrived to find a boy with a neck injury, who claimed he was walking in the area of Rusholme Road and Avenue W North when he was approached by a group of youth.
A verbal and physical struggle ensued and one of the youths shot him in the neck with a bb gun.
The boy then returned home and called the police before being taken to the hospital. The suspects and victim were not believed to be known to one another.
