The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating five different stabbings that occurred within the last three days.
The string of investigations began at around noon on Monday when a 56-year-old man went to St. Paul’s Hospital to seek treatment for a stab wound. Police learned that two people broke into the man’s home on Avenue V South and stabbed him before stealing his phone.
The second incident was reported later that day at 4:30 p.m. on the same day when a 53-year-old man came to the hospital after being stabbed and bear sprayed behind a convenience store in the 500 block of Avenue W South.
Tuesday around 1:00 a.m., a 51-year-old male was stabbed at 22nd Street West and Confederation Drive. The investigation began after the man went to the hospital at 9:00 p.m. the same day.
Two more incidents occurred early Wednesday morning and the first took place at around 1:00 a.m. when a woman was stabbed on Avenue O South. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The suspect left the scene before police arrived.
The final incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Idylwyld Drive North. A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital in stable condition following the incident.
