Saskatoon firefighters had to put out a fire at a boarded-up house in the 100 Block of Ave N South Wednesday night.

The call came in at 9:41 p.m. And when fire crews arrived, they could see smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house.

Once the fire was knocked down from outside the building, fire crews used forcible entry tools to get inside so they could confirm no one was in the building and to check for any fire extension.

No one was hurt and a fire investigator is looking into the cause, origin and damage estimate.
