Over the noon hour Wednesday, Turtleford RCMP received a report of three injured people at a rural property northwest of Turtleford.
Officers located three injured men and attempted life saving measures. EMS declared the three men deceased.
Investigation determined each victim sustained gunshot wounds and all three deceased males are the victims of homicide. Investigators seized multiple firearms from the property. Investigators do not believe there are additional victims or suspects.
Twenty-five-year-old Madison Paddy-Jimmy from Thunderchild First Nation is in North Battleford Provincial Court Friday charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection to the death of 28-year-old Tonio Cantell from Island Lake First Nation.
RCMP are not providing any further details regarding the death of a 46-year-old man from Turtleford and the other victim whom they are still trying to identify.
The RCMP says they are NOT asking for the public’s assistance to further the investigation.
