RCMP are investigating a murder in the southeast community of Whitewood, about 175 kilometres east of Regina on the TransCanada Highway..

Around 4pm Thursday, RCMP received a report of an injured man inside a residence in Whitewood. The man was transported to hospital where he later died.

A male youth was arrested at the scene. He was taken to hospital as a precaution, but is back in police custody. The youth has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.

RCMP will only say the victim and the accused are from the Broadview RCMP Detachment area in order to avoid identifying the youth.
