A call about a shooting on Mosquito, Grizzly Bear’s Head, Lean Man First Nation came in at 7:10 p.m. last Wednesday evening after a male in a parking lot outside a community facility on the First Nation was shot by someone in a green Jeep. The injured male got into a tan coloured jeep and both vehicles drove away.
But shortly after in a a business parking lot along Highway #4 the person in the tan-coloured Jeep fired a gun at those in the green jeep. Again both Jeeps left the parking lot. The male in the tan-coloured Jeep was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was later released from hospital and the male and a female were arrested on outstanding warrants from Battlefords RCMP. No charges however have been laid in connection to the investigation with the jeeps.
Battlefords RCMP are looking to confirm the wellbeing of occupants in a dark-green 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited SUV. Anyone with information about this vehicle, or about someone who was injured on the evening of November 5, is asked to call your local RCMP.
