Investigators with the Major Crime Section have arrested another man in connection to the 2024 homicide of 30 year old Tim Tootoosis.
On Thursday 38-year-old Roderick Rabbitskin was arrested in Saskatoon and charged with first degree murder and unlawful confinement.
He has since appeared in court and was remanded into custody pending his next appearance.
Saskatchewan RCMP arrested 43-year-old Destini Gardypie and 34-year-old Nakita Tootoosis on Wednesday on outstanding warrants issued by the Saskatoon Police Service.
The body of Tim Tootoosis was found by police at home in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West on December 18, 2024.
Gardypie has been charged with first degree murder and unlawful confinement. Tootoosis is charged with manslaughter. Both women have appeared in court and remanded in custody.
Five other people are facing first degree murder charges. Two men were recently arrested—22-year-old Emmery Aubichon last Friday and 45-year-old Vernon Peequaquat on Monday.
Forty-year-old Michael Landry, 27-year-old Michael McCallum and 41-year old Donavan Lemstra were arrested earlier this month.
