The Saskatoon Fire Department was busy attending calls Monday.
The first was a call just before noon reporting a vehicle collision with entrapment at Marquis and Arthur Rose Avenue.
A fire engine, rescue truck and battalion chief were dispatched, alongside Saskatoon Police and Medavie Ambulance.
Firefighters stabilized and de-energized the vehicle and removed an unconscious female using the jaws of life. She was then turned over to Medavie Ambulance for transport to hospital and the scene was taken over by Police for further investigation.
The second call came in just after 4:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Eastview. The SFD says a detached garage was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival, and it was under control within the first five minutes of crew arrival.
There were no injuries, and a fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
