Are you a woman in business looking for some brand-boosting assistance?
For the last 30 years, Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan has helped over 144,000 women achieve their business dreams. Jessica Pegg with WESK says there are currently about 900 members across the province, but you don’t need to be a member to access most of their services.
These include free in-person networking events, training, webinars, and an online learning platform.
However, members do get access to unlimited business advising as well as the WESK Loan Fund. Pegg says the Fund has competitive interest rates, resulting in over $48 million being loaned to women in Saskatchewan over the years.
Pegg is a business-owner herself. She says she “found it very challenging to get support and mentorship from a place where no one was trying to sell me something. It felt very much like women in entrepreneurship were preyed upon to purchase additional coaching…It always felt like there was a catch.”
She says that’s why WESK operates in a flexible, no-pressure, empowering way, letting women define success in their own terms.
Although ‘women’ is in the title, Pegg says WESK is happy to meet the needs of all entrepreneurs. More information can be found here.
