Pierceland RCMP is investigating after receiving multiple reports of firearm discharge at Big Island Lake Cree Nation on January 2nd at around 10:50 p.m.
Officers responded to the reports and searched the area, where no injured people were found.
Pierceland RCMP is investigating with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battlefords Provincial General Investigation Section.
Part of the investigation will involve determining if the firearm discharge is connected to the December 30th shooting that happened on Big Island Lake Cree Nation, which remains under investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime investigators.
