Prince Albert Police have charged a 29-year-old woman following a firearm incident on New Year’s Day.
At 9:06 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of 2nd Street East for a report of a man with a gun. They then learned that the man was in a physical altercation with two women.
Police say video surveillance showed two women approach a suite door, and as it opened, an altercation occurred between the two women and the man. During the incident, a long-barreled firearm was present.
Following the altercation, both the men and the women returned to their respective suites; the women were observed to be in possession of the firearm.
The event was quickly categorized as a critical incident, and specialized resources were called to assist. All individuals exited the residence voluntarily, and a search warrant was subsequently executed, leading to the seizure of a .177 Caliber Air Rifle.
