The Saskatchewan Roughriders made it official Thursday, releasing American wide receiver Dohnte Meyers so he could pursue an N-F-L opportunity.
Back on Tuesday, Cincinnati signed Meyers to an N-F-L futures contract. The 25-year-old had a breakout C-F-L season in 2025, making 65 catches for one thousand-and-56 yards with eight touchdowns. Meyers was named a West Division all-star and helped the Green and White win the Grey Cup.
In addition, Kadeem Carey will not be back with the Riders in 2026. The American running back will serve as running backs coach under new Toronto head coach Mike Miller, announced today by the Argonauts. The 33-year-old suffered a gruesome leg injury with the Green and White after joining the Riders early in the season from the Argos.
As well, Saskatchewan signed American receiver Ali Jennings the Third, who finished his collegiate career at Virginia Tech. Following are the news releases from the Roughriders…..
