More weather records fell in Saskatchewan on Tuesday. Environment Canada says six locations set new daytime highs for January 13th. Assiniboia’s new record high temperature is 4.2 degrees beating out a record of 4.0 set in 1983.
In Buffalo Narrows the mercury reached 3.4 degrees and the old record was 0.2 set in 2021. The daytime high in Hudson Bay Tuesday was 5 degrees, and the previous record was 2.9 set in 1987. For the second day in a row La Ronge set a new record daytime high of 2.5 degrees felling the previous record set in 1933.
Meadow Lake saw the temperature rise to 3.8 degrees which bettered the old record of 3.5 degrees in 1985 and Waskesiu Lake’s new record at 3.5 was two degrees warmer than the previous record set in 1986.
