Prince Albert RCMP have a warrant out for a man’s arrest following an assault investigation in the RM of Buckland.
On January 7, at 3:00 a.m., officers received a report of a man being chased by an individual with a weapon.
Mounties learned an altercation occurred between two men and a woman in a vehicle. One of the men assaulted the others and took them into a forested area before shooting a firearm in their direction but missing. The victims then ran into the trees to get away from the suspect and became lost.
In an attempt to find the pair, officers deployed drone and found the man before directing him out of the forest using his phone compass.
Upon exiting the trees, he was taken to hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ground searches located the female victim in an SUV in a remote location in the RM of Prince Albert. RCMP used snowmobiles to reach her and bring her to hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
Now, 30-year-old Justin Charles from Prince Albert is facing ten charges, and a warrant is out for his arrest. He is six feet tall, 220 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
