A Saskatoon man faces a laundry list of charges following the seizures of drugs and firearms earlier this week at residences in Saskatoon and Radisson.
Thirty-eight-year-old Chad Mason was arrested on Tuesday after the combined efforts of the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team-Gang Task Force and the Saskatoon Police Service’s Tactical Support Unit executed two separate search warrants. One of those was at a residence on 8th Street in Saskatoon as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Officers arrested six individuals, including Mason, while seizing drugs, firearms, ammunition and cash (pictured). The second search warrant was at a residence on Goodrich Street in Radisson where more firearms and ammunition were seized (also in picture). The other five people initially arrested in Saskatoon were later released from police custody without charge. Mason appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Wednesday to face the following list of charges…Chad Mason is charged with:
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
sixteen counts, weapons possession contrary to order
three counts, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized
one count, possession of a restricted firearm with readily available ammunition
one count, possession of firearm obtained by crime
two counts, fail to comply with release order condition
three counts, careless storage of a firearm and
one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000.
