A police operation by members of the Prince Albert Police Service have concluded following the arrest of a 30-year-old man who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants from a Saskatchewan RCMP investigation.
Through investigation, the Crime Reduction Team was able to identify a residence in the 500 block of 23rd Street East where it was believed the individual was residing. The man was located and arrested on Thursday without incident by members of CRT, Emergency Response team, Canine Unit, Proactive Policing Unit, Saskatchewan Trafficking Response and crisis negotiators.
A search warrant was authorized and a number of items were seized, including a crossbow, multiple CO2 style firearms, ammunition, multiple firearm accessories, a bulletproof vest, and a machete.
The investigation continues and the man has since been transported to the Prince Albert RCMP Detachment for further investigation on their file.
