Madison Ley of the Kerrobert Multiple 4-H Club—a couple of hours west of Saskatoon—placed first in the event held over the weekend in Saskatoon.
Ley has been accepted to attend the University of Saskatchewan in the fall where she will be enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources. Her plan is to earn a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
Thirty-eight 4-H members from around the province participated in the weekend event filled with social, interactive and competitive activities. Participants were also asked to interview someone who is a leader in their community such as coaches, business people and local politicians. Following the interview, the participants prepared written articles or video presentations.
