The Saskatoon Police Service says patrol officers responded to an injured person call in the Parkridge neighbourhood and found a man who had been shot. The call came in around 11:15 p.m. Saturday from the 200 block of McCormack Road. Police say a 40-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries due to a gunshot wound.
The Saskatoon Police Service says patrol officers responded to a single vehicle accident around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning in Lawson Heights after a car hit a fence and a shed. This was in the 100 block of Nokomis Crescent, and the police say the driver fled on foot. The damaged vehicle was abandoned in the middle of the street but a description of the suspect led to an arrest a short distance away. A 23-year-old man is charged with Refusal and was issued a ticket for Hit and Run.
Saskatoon Police commenced a firearm investigation after an incident in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Police received a report that a male who was brandishing a firearm, went into a home in the 300 block of Avenue Q South. There was an altercation between the suspect and the occupant and while police confirmed the presence of a firearm, both the suspect and victim fled before police arrived. No injuries were reported.
