Corman Park Police impounded a vehicle for 30 days after it was clocked doing 162 kilometres per hour in thick fog on Saturday.
An officer says the vehicle, just before midnight Saturday, was heading out of Saskatoon on Highway 16 westbound. In a social media post the police service says the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed in heavy fog passing other vehicles on the roadway.
They say the novice driver didn’t have a reason for the excessive speed. In addition to the impoundment the driver’s license was suspended for 7 days and they were given an $820 speeding ticket.
