The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to a break and enter at a home in Stonebridge around 1:15 a.m. Thursday morning.

Their investigation indicates a group of masked persons had broken into the residence, discharged bear spray, assaulted the occupant, and stole items before fleeing the area prior to police arriving.

The suspects and victim are not believed to be known to one another.

The break and enter, assault and theft in the 300 block of Dickson Crescent remain under investigation.
