Rosthern RCMP are investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian accident that happened around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The vehicle hit a pedestrian near Hague on Highway #11 . The victim was declared deceased at the scene and is a man from Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation. RCMP say, at this time, they are not providing additional identifying information about the person who died.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. No charges have been laid in relation to this investigation as yet. Rosthern RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
