The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1900 block of 1st Avenue North on Friday.

Crews arrived at 10:56 am and observed light smoke coming from the large commercial recycling building and were met by evacuated staff.

They advanced multiple hose lines to extinguish the fire. The fire is now completely out, and no one was injured as a result.

A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
