The Saskatoon Police Service were called to Midtown Plaza to investigate an assault and robbery that had just occurred.
This was around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Police say the 67-year-old man who was the victim of the assault was waiting at the security office and told officers he was sitting at a table in the mall when he was approached by an unknown man sho struck him in the face.
The assailant stole the victim’s shopping bag and fled the area. Police say the victim didn’t suffer serious injury.
Members of Patrol continue to investigate.
