Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Environment say that angling licences expire on Tuesday, March 31.
This year, Habitat Certificates extend to angling licences, and anyone who purchases both an annual angling licence and a hunting licence in the same year will only be required to purchase one Habitat Certificate.
Implemented as of the 2026-27 season, an Angling Habitat Certificate will be required alongside any angling licence, helping support fisheries and aquatic invasive species prevention.
As of April 1, Saskatchewan residents who are under the age of 16, over the age of 65, or a veteran don’t require an angling licence or Angling Habitat Certificate to fish.
