You may recall a recent story from the Crime Stoppers division of the Saskatoon Police Service which was looking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in a scanning scam which has now led to the arrest of one suspect while both have been identified.
Police say the older gentleman turned himself in and is facing more than 15 charges while having actually returned some of the stolen products. The investigation is ongoing.
The Saskatoon Police Service had been looking for two suspects using a makeshift scanning device to alter prices allowing them to purchase merchandise for far less than its actual value at a home improvement store in the city’s south side.
