A 30-year-old man died in the collision that occurred shortly after 1am on Highway 55 east of Nipawin.

Emergency responders, including local fire services and EMS, attended the scene. The pedestrian was declared dead by EMS.

Police say the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene.

Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
