The World Senior Men’s Championship continues today and runs through Saturday in Geneva, Switzerland. A total of 34 teams were taking part, including Canada. The 34 teams were split into six pools for preliminary qualifying play, followed by the top 12 teams advancing to the playoffs. Canada is represented by the Bruce Korte foursome from Saskatoon-Nutana. They finished round-robin play with 4 wins, 0 losses…good for 1st place in Pool A. Canada’s next game is in the playoffs, with opponent and time yet to be determined.
The World Senior Women’s Championship continues today and runs through Saturday in Geneva, Switzerland. A total of 23 teams were taking part, including Canada. The 23 teams were split into four pools for preliminary qualifying play, followed by the top eight teams advancing to playoffs. Canada is represented by the Sherry Middaugh quartet from Barrie, Ontario. They have 3 wins, 0 losses…good for 1st place in Pool A. Their next game is, as follows…
Noon – Canada vs Slovenia
The World Mixed Doubles Championship continues today and runs through Saturday in Geneva, Switzerland. A total of 20 duos are taking part, including Canada. The 20 duos are split into two pools of 10 pairs each for preliminary qualifying play, followed by the top six duos advancing to playoffs. Canada is represented by Kadriana and Colton Lott from Gimli, Manitoba. They have 7 wins, 1 loss…good for 1st place in Pool B. Their next game is as follows…
