Machete attack
A Saskatoon man is recovering after being assaulted with a machete.
Saskatoon police responded to an injured person report on Sunday night around 11 p.m. in the area of 22nd Street East and 1st Avenue North.
Police located a 19-year-old man suffering from numerous slash wounds and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
He reported being assaulted by two men. Both suspects are described as being about 20 years of age and wearing all black clothing. The first suspect is also described as approximately 5’9″ and wearing a green hat.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Police pull over to help victim of stabbing seen running
The Saskatoon Police Service says patrol officers spotted a man running in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue V South who appeared to be hurt.
This was around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.
They stopped him and determined he’d been stabbed. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the 27-year-old victim has provided NOT a lot of details so anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Customers and staff threatened at gas station
The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to a gas station Sunday night after staff reported that two males were in the business threatening them and their customers.
This was around 10:15 p.m. at the Esso in the 800 block of 22nd Street West.
Police located the suspects and say one was in possession of a knife, hydromorphone pills and drug paraphernalia.
He is now facing charges of; Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of Hydromorphone.
Life threatening injury in stabbing
The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to the 400 block of Kingsmere Boulevard in the city’s Lakeview neighbourhood on the weekend where they located a 37-year-old man with a life-threatening stab wound.
Witnesses say a fight occurred Sunday night around 10:00 p.m.between the victim and a suspect who are known to each other.
A 34-year-old man is charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation.
