Gas prices in Saskatoon were on the descent againt last week according to GasBuddy.com.
Average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon have fallen 3.6 c/L in the past week, averaging 164.12 c/L as of Sunday.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.5 c/L in the last week to 170.79 c/L.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, says, “Average gasoline prices declined in most provinces over the last week as falling oil prices and improving refinery output kept downward pressure on pump prices, though three provinces bucked the trend and saw prices edge higher.”
He adds that the relief came as oil approached $90 per barrel and production ramped up following seasonal maintenance. However, he cautions that the situation remains uncertain, as the Strait of Hormuz is still effectively closed, and any further deterioration could reverse these recent declines.
