Indian Head RCMP have charged a BC woman after seizing 10.25 kg of cocaine during a traffic stop.
The traffic stop happened on July 29 around 12:50am. The RCMP stopped the SUV on Highway #1 near Indian Head.
After an investigation, officers determined there were likely illicit drugs in the vehicle, and the driver was arrested.
Officers found and seized the 10.25 kilograms of cocaine and a sum of cash.
33-year-old Shaunte Nichol from Windermere, BC, has been charged with:
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal $5,000
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
Nichol appeared in court in Fort Qu’Appelle on July 30.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team, Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia, and the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol assisted in the investigation.
