It has been relatively dry in the RM of Vanscoy, southwest of Saskatoon, since the early part of July.

With harvest expected to move into full gear next week and the possibility of sparks causing fires, the RM Council decided to take preventative measures to ease the potential workloads for volunteer firefighters.
