A teenage male from Creighton appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court Thursday after being arrested in connection with a robbery investigation in Creighton on Wednesday evening.

According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, at about 6:10 p.m. on September 2, the Creighton detachment received a report of a suspicious male on Creighton Avenue in the community. Investigating officers were able to determine that a male approached two individuals outside, demanded their personal belongings and threatened them before leaving on foot. The male was wearing a face covering and was armed with a knife. No physical injuries were reported to police from this incident. Officers were able to arrest the suspect male nearby the incident scene shortly afterwards and seized a knife that he had in his possession. Because the teenage male is under 18 years of age, he cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was charged with one count each of robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, wear a disguise with intent to commit an offence and uttering threats against a person.
