One man is in custody charged with aggravated assault after an incident Friday night.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m., police were called to the alley of the 200 block of 21st Street East regarding an injured man.

Police and Emergency Services personnel responded and found one man who was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West with life threatening injuries.  Patrol officers as well as members of the Forensic Identification Section are investigating.

A 29 year-old man has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.

The injured man is currently in serious but stable condition.
