A 27 year-old has been charged by Moose Jaw Police with impaired driving causing bodily harm.
On Thursday at 12:14 p.m. police report attempting to conduct a vehicle stop on an SUV without a license plate. The driver of the vehicle allegedly refused to stop and fled from Police at a high rate of speed leaving city limits.
Police say the vehicle later returned to Moose Jaw and was involved in a collision in the 1000/900 Block of Athabasca Street East. The suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle, a power pole, a fence and then came to rest in a yard against a tree.
The driver of the suspect vehicle was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted with the help of Moose Jaw Fire Department and EMS. The driver was arrested on scene and was transported to Regina with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The occupant of the Victim vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
27 year-old Zackery Michael Earl Marckowski, who was out on Statutory Release, is charged with Flight from Police, Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Driving While Prohibited, Possessing a Weapon While Prohibited, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of LSD, Possession of Crystal Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Marckowski has been remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.
