The Saskatoon Police Service says a 29-year-old man was hit and killed Wednesday night.

The fatal vehicle-pedestrian accident took place around 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Avenue W South.

Officers say their investigation indicates there was an altercation between drivers, who were known to each other.  The 29 year old man was hit by a vehicle, taken to hospital and pronounced deceased from his injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section, Forensic Identification Section and Collision Analysts continue to investigate. Police say  more details will be provided when they become available.
