Saskatoon Police have tracked down the person of interest wanted on a warrant for second degree murder in connection to a homicide investigation.
Eighteen-year-old Zennen Thomas was located on the weekend. Police say they found their suspect after the Air Support Unit and Patrol officers responded to a disturbance on the weekend in the 200 block of Avenue I North.
Zennen Thomas was in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday afternoon to face the second-degree murder charge.
Around 11:30 a.m. on December 1st, in the city’s tenth homicide of the year, officers were flagged down around 21st Street West and Avenue W South by occupants of a minivan transporting a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased.
A second person wanted in connect to the homicide was also located on the weekend. The 24-year-old woman was interviewed and released without charges. Both she and a third person, a 31-year-old man, are no longer considered persons of interest in the case.
