Shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, Maidstone RCMP reported there was a serious collision on Highway #17 approximately five kilometres north of Lloydminster.

Highway 17 was closed, and traffic was being re-routed with RCMP advising motorist to expect delays.

The latest check of the Highway Hotline indicates there is debris on the highway and one lane is open to traffic.
