Highway Hotline says travel is not recommended across a huge span of the province this morning due to loose snow, snow drifts and ice.
This advisory is impacting a circle of communities that surround Saskatoon, Outlook, Davidson and Lumsden, leaving them unaffected. Impacted communities include Melfort, Tisdale, Wadena, Foam Lake, Fort Qu’Appelle, Gravelbourg, Assiniboia, Eastend, Swift Current and Rosetown.
There are also a few communities up north that share the burden, such as Big River and St. Walburg.
Saskatchewan RCMP is warning that roads may be slippery or icy and snow-covered, due to yesterday’s snow and gusting winds, and visibility may be reduced – especially if someone passes you. They advise you to postpone travel plans if you can.
