Saskatchewan’s new Lieutenant Governor was officially installed during a ceremony at the Legislature today.
Bernadette McIntyre, from the Regina area, is now the province’s 24th Lieutenant Governor. She has held executive roles at Saskatchewan Government Insurance and Wascana Centre Authority. For 26 years, she served on the board of Regina’s Highland Curling Club and was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame for her success in the sport.
She was the first woman to be President of the Saskatchewan Curling Association and was also the President of the 2001 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials.
