First, Dalmeny Police Service sounded the alarm bells, now Rosetown RCMP is doing the same.
Both communities are being warned of a fraudulent paving company scamming people in multiple areas throughout the province.
Rosetown RCMP says a group of individuals approached a business, offering paving services for a lower-than-market price if they completed the work immediately. No business was done, as the would-be victims noticed some red flags.
Rosetown RCMP has also received recent reports of thefts of asphalt materials. It’s unknown if they are connected and they remain under investigation.
Dalmeny Police say the business goes by Redwood Paving Ltd. supposedly out of British Columbia.
They are driving rental worksite trucks out of Ontario with a flatdeck trailer carrying a skid steer and a semi/gravel hauler.
The main boss is described as in his mid-30’s, shorter, brown hair with a British accent who has provided names of George, Jack, Paul and John Mumullan or McMullan. Dalmeny Police Service ask residents to contact police immediately if someone who fits this description or vehicle description approaches you to do business.
