Five stabbings took place in Saskatoon over the weekend.
The first occurred at 5:00 a.m. on Friday in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue W north where aa male was found to have been stabbed. The second stabbing happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. Officers were called to a back alley near 4th avenue and 25th Street where a 23-year-old woman was suffering.
The next three occurred on Sunday. At 1:30 a.m. police reported to the 100 Block of Avenue T South to find a wounded 26-year-old man. Later that day, at 1:15 p.m., officers arrived at a hotel in the 100 Block of Circle Drive West for the report of an 18-year-old man being stabbed. All suspects fled prior to police arrival, however that wasn’t the case for the last incident.
After 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, a 29-year-old woman waved down an officer in the area of 2nd Avenue and 20th Street. A 63-year-old woman was arrested a few blocks away and faces five charges. All victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
