The Saskatchewan Mining Association has unveiled the winners of the 55th Saskatchewan Mining Association Emergency Response/Mine Rescue Skills Competition that took place this weekend.
Sixteen teams competed in 7 different skills events, including Bench Technician, Fire Fighting, First Aid, Practical Skills, Proficiency, Surface Rope Rescue, and Simulated Surface and Underground Mine Problems.
The team that took home the title of overall winner for surface skills was Mosaic Esterhazy Surface, and the team who did best in the underground skills category was Nutrien Allan.
Bench Technician was claimed by Kevin Moore with SSR Mining Seabee, while the Fire Aid event was secured by Nutrien Patience Lake
Firefighting was won by Mosaic Esterhazy Surface, and practical skills were clutched by K+S Potash Bethune.
