Four people are facing criminal charges after Regina Police made arrests overnight (wed) at the Co-op Refinery Complex. 41 year old Ryan James David Briggs of Drinkwater, 30 year old James Peter Robert Cheeseman of Regina, 34 year old Scott McKinnon of Southey and 45 year old Steve Angus Vargo of Regina are charged with Mischief and Disobeying a Court Order. Police made the arrests around 12:40 this morning. They were all released on undertakings and are to be in Provincial Court March 23rd.
This isn’t Unifor’s first run-in with the law. Back in January, Regina Police said 14 individuals were arrested, after Unifor members had completely blocked the entrances and exits to the Co-op Refinery. Police said the picketers were advised that blocking the facility like that was in violation of a court order. All were charged with mischief.
