The new Zoo Manager at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo is Jeffrey Mitchell. He has over 20 years of experience in the zoo industry and comes from the Henson Robinson Zoo in Springfield, Illinois.
He describes the conservation and education at the zoo as second to none and is excited to show the community what they are accomplishing.
Other new beginnings at the zoo include the birth of two baby Mouflon Sheep on March 21st. One female and one male. Mouflon Sheep are from the Middle East. They are listed as vulnerable which means the two new lambs will help conserve and promote conservation of the species.
