While provincial parks and campgrounds open for business on June first, the opening of national parks is still unclear. Parks Canada says visitor services and vehicle access remain closed at all national parks, historic sites, heritage canals, and national marine conservation areas, including Prince Albert National Park, until further notice. That includes the Long Weekend. Parks Canada says all events, group, and interpretive activities are suspended until at least May 31st. Motorized boats in Prince Albert National Park for recreational fishing and boating are prohibited. Highway 264 to Waskesiu remains open for through-traffic only. There is no vehicle access outside of the Waskesiu Townsite. Some local businesses are open.
