Brandt has released a statement on Wednesday’s workplace accident resulting in a death at their facility in Moose Jaw.
The notice reads that the incident involved a third-party crane company and resulted in the death of the Supervisor at that location. He had worked for Brandt for nine years and was 26 years old.
Brandt has extended its deepest condolences to the worker’s family and is coordinating grief counsellors to aid employees. The exact cause of the incident
is unknown, and the matter is currently under investigation by both Brandt and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety.
Emergency services responded on Wednesday at 12:40 pm. to the incident, involving injuries, in the northeast area of the city. Upon arrival, the 26-year-old male was pronounced deceased. The Moose Jaw Police Service is assisting the Saskatchewan Coroners Service as they continue to investigate this workplace incident.
