SGI has announced that driver’s licence reciprocity has been extended to 24 European countries.
That means drivers from these countries will be able to exchange their foreign driver’s licence for a Saskatchewan Class 5, which is a regular licence, without having to take training or testing.
The list includes Norway, Greece, Croatia and Portugal.
The complete list is with this story online.
Minister of Immigration and Career Training, Jeremy Harrison, says, “A driver’s licence provides newcomers the freedom to explore the province on their own terms as they settle into their new communities. By expanding our reciprocity agreements, SGI is making Saskatchewan a more attractive choice for those looking to call Canada home.”
Saskatchewan already has reciprocity agreements in 17 countries including Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
That list is also with this story online.
This reciprocity policy also includes motorcycle licenses.
