Swift Current Rural RCMP issued an advisory at 7:40 p.m. Sunday night saying Highway 37 east of Gull Lake was blocked due to a train derailment.

The CPKC derailment was approximately 1.5 kilometres east of the community with the Highway 27 entrance to Gull Lake blocked in both directions.

RCMP say neither dangerous goods nor injuries were reported. It was anticipated it would take several hours to clear the highway.
