Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan celebrated its 10th build in 14 years today alongside a family from Yorkton who received the keys.
The new build was made possible through a $65,000 investment by the Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan, as well as donations from local businesses and community volunteers.
Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation Terry Jenson says the collaboration that brought this four-bedroom 1,008 square foot bungalow and others like it to Saskatchewan “strengthens communities and creates a foundation for families to have brighter futures.”
The family will be paying an interest-free, zero down-payment mortgage set at 25 per cent of their annual gross income.
